About us

MezzanineLab is a creative lab where technology, design, and a passion for making things come together.

It started in a mezzanine with a simple idea: to build, experiment, and discover how far we can go by combining creativity and technology.

Our story

Over time, this curiosity has turned into very different kinds of projects: from automated railway models built with LEGO® bricks and Arduino®, to digital experiences for events, as well as websites, applications, and custom-made tools.

The name MezzanineLab comes from the very place where our journey began: a mezzanine transformed into a workshop to build our first LEGO® railway diorama.

More than 5,000 bricks, three locomotives, around 25 characters, and a fully automated system powered by Arduino® brought DepotIno to life, a small railway yard in motion.

What we do

We don't have a single specialty, but we do have a way of working: we start with an idea and look for the simplest, most original, and most thoughtful way to turn it into something real.

We create experiences, objects, and tools that bring technology and creativity together, with a strong focus on ease of use and attention to detail.

Among our projects is PartyLab, our smart photobooth for events, but also experiments, installations, automation projects, and ideas born simply from the desire to see if something can be done.

Our philosophy

The lab has grown since those early days, but the same curiosity remains: have an idea, get our hands dirty, and see what happens.
